Goose Lane Editions will be closing our Fredericton office and taking down our website on September 30, 2022, in order to observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Our storefront will be closed, our website will be deactivated, and our social media will be dedicated to sharing Indigenous voices. Goose Lane Editions is located on the unceded territory of the Wəlastəkwiyik whose ancestors along with the Mi'kmaq and Peskotomuhkati Nations signed Peace and Friendship Treaties with the British Crown in the 1700s. These treaties did not deal with the surrendering of land, instead, they recognized Indigenous sovereignty and established rules for an ongoing relationship between nations.

As a national publisher based in New Brunswick, there’s only one thing we love more than amplifying local voices to both national and international stages, and that is seeing people read and love these books as much as we do!

Fall release season is just around the corner at Goose Lane Editions, and we couldn’t be more excited to share the diverse and vital titles that we have the pleasure to publish. This fall, we have works that examine the reality of global inequities, capture a world affected by COVID, and revisit one of the biggest art fraud cases in the country. These are the books that have made us laugh and made us cry. We can’t wait for all of our amazing readers to experience them with us.

Between Emancipation Day, la fête nationale de l'Acadie, and — for us here in Fredericton — Pride, August has been a month of reflection on the diversity and history of our communities. Whether somber or joyful, stories are the most important way for us to share our experiences and come together as a community.
