South by Southwest (SXSW), the premiere convergence of the interactive, film, and music industries, will experience a first this year as it screens the book trailer for Jared Young’s Into the Current. Nominated for Best Title Design alongside some of the biggest productions in Hollywood, including Stranger Things, Jessica Jones, The Crown, and Doctor Strange, the trailer for Into the Current will have the added distinction of being the first book trailer screened at the festival.
The trailer was a collaboration between Young and award-winning motion designer Chris Moberg, his colleague at the Ottawa creative agency McMillan. It was also recently shortlisted in the short film category by The One Show, one of the most prestigious awards competitions in advertising, design, and branded entertainment.
